Przelewice, a rural commune in the Pyrzyce County, is located in the southwestern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, with its administrative seat in the village of Przelewice. Until 1950, the commune was named Gmina Brzesko. According to data from the end of 2017, the commune was inhabited by 5,217 people, accounting for 13.1% of the county's population. Covering 22.4% of the county's area, the commune borders the communes of Lipiany, Pyrzyce, Warnice, Barlinek, and Dolice. The Płonia River flows through the commune, while the large Lake Płoń and forested areas cover 7% of its territory. The commune is largely agricultural, known for producing Przelewice honeys, which are a regional product. The area also features numerous heritage sites under conservation protection, including religious buildings and residential structures. Historically, the commune was connected to the railway network starting in 1898, but after several years, it was closed to both passenger and freight traffic. In 2016, the commune's budget reported expenditures of 22.1 million PLN and revenues of 23.3 million PLN. Przelewice also has a partnership with the town of Woldegk in Germany. The commune includes numerous villages, such as Bylice, Jesionowo, Kluki, and Kłodzino, as well as several settlements and colonies. The natural environment and local history attract tourists, and road communication, primarily via the provincial road No. 122, connects the commune with nearby towns.
