Przytoczna

Przytoczna is a village in the Lubusz Voivodeship, within the Międzyrzecz County, with a history dating back to at least the 14th century. It is situated in the picturesque valley of the Dłuska Struga stream, surrounded by lakes and forests, making it an attractive tourist destination. The village offers basic amenities such as shops and restaurants, as well as a tourist hostel at the Municipal Center of Culture and Sports. Historically, Przytoczna was a noble village with its own parish and church, and its residents regularly paid taxes, reflecting the settlement's significance. In the 18th century, Przytoczna became a town known for its fairs. During its time as part of Prussia and the Duchy of Warsaw, the village held regional importance. Preserved historical monuments, such as a Baroque palace from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and a Neo-Gothic church built between 1870 and 1871, contribute to the architectural character of the village. Przytoczna is also known for its local traditions, including the Tomato Festival, which attracts tourists and media attention thanks to the organized "tomato battle." The local Municipal Sports Club, Zjednoczeni Przytoczna, plays an important role in community life, promoting physical activity among residents. The village stands out for its rich cultural and historical heritage, complemented by beautiful green areas ideal for recreation.
