The PTTK "Jagodna" Shelter is located at the Spalona Pass in the Bystrzyckie Mountains, in a picturesque area at the intersection of hiking trails. Built around 1895, it originally served as a Sudeten-style inn known as Passhöhe Baude. In 1927, it was taken over by the Kłodzko Mountain Society, which renamed it Brandbaude and transformed it into a tourist shelter over the following years. By 1938, it offered 30 overnight accommodations, and nearby bunkers—now planned to be adapted for tourism—were part of the surroundings. After World War II, the shelter fell into disrepair, but in 1948 it was taken over by the Kłodzko Branch of PTT, which, after renovations, increased its capacity to 80 beds. Over the years, the shelter changed its name several times, and in the 1960s, it gained a ski lift, boosting its popularity. Today, it offers a well-equipped tourist base with 57 sleeping places, sewage access, hot water, Wi-Fi, and a buffet. Four cross-country skiing trails—black, red, green, and blue, with varying difficulty levels—have been marked around the shelter. The area offers stunning views of the Śnieżnik Massif and the Orlické Mountains, attracting tourists year-round. The shelter serves as an excellent base for mountain hiking and winter sports enthusiasts.
