wikipedia
The Puck railway station, located between Dworcowa and Kolejowa streets, was opened on December 15, 1898, and is classified by PKP (Polish State Railways) as a tourist station. In 1928, a new station building was constructed, which is a single-block, two-story structure with a gable roof and a plastered facade, currently housing ticket offices and a waiting room. The station is situated on railway line No. 213, connecting Gdynia with Hel, serving the Hel Peninsula, which results in high seasonality of traffic. The Puck station was the closest to the sea in the PKP network, leading to the construction of a temporary port with a railway siding. After Poland regained independence in 1918, Puck became part of the Polish railway network, and in the 1920s, the line to Swarzewo was extended. After World War II, in the 1970s and 1980s, services on the Puck–Krokowa route were suspended several times, with the final suspension taking place in 1991. In 1998, the line was modernized, and currently, Puck is mainly served by regional trains and seasonal long-distance connections. The station has one double-edged platform with a height of 760 mm and a length of 225 m, accessible only at track level. During the summer season, trains are operated with classic consists, and the introduction of railbuses has facilitated local transport. An interesting fact is that on September 26, 1993, the last passenger train hauled by steam traction departed from the station, marking a significant moment in its history. In 2020, an integration hub was opened, improving the station's functionality in the context of Puck's urban transport.
