W skrócie

wikipedia
Radiofonia was a Cracow-based radio station established on June 22, 2009, continuing earlier radio traditions in the city that dated back to various forms of radio broadcasting since the 1990s. Its roots trace back to "Akademickie Radio Kraków" (Academic Radio Kraków), formed in 1994 through the merger of two stations operating at the AGH University of Science and Technology. Throughout its existence, Radiofonia gained recognition as a significant hub of student culture, collaborating with numerous Cracow universities that established the Foundation of Academic Radio Żak. Initially adopting a concert-based format, it later experimented with various music styles, with its core mission being to train future radio journalists. The station organized recruitment drives, offering volunteer work and internships to students, making it not only a source of entertainment but also an educational platform. Notably, it was led by Joanna Sajdłowska, and the station introduced various thematic programs, including "Dzień Dobry Kraków" (Good Morning Kraków) and "Popołudnie z Radiofonią" (Afternoon with Radiofonia). Following management changes and the dissolution of the Foundation, Radiofonia concluded its broadcasting license on February 20, 2022, with a farewell program. It signed off with the song "Mieć czy być" (To Have or to Be) by the band Myslovitz, underscoring its ties to Kraków's music culture. Radiofonia remains a symbol of radio creativity in Kraków and an example of how student stations can connect young people with the local community and culture.
