Rogowo is a rural commune located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Żnin County. Its administrative seat is the village of Rogowo. The commune covers an area of 178.56 km², of which 60% is agricultural land and 33% is forested. In 2004, it was inhabited by 6,879 residents. The commune is known for its beautiful natural areas, including two nature reserves that protect unique ecosystems: Długi Bród, a peatland with pine forest, and Mięcierzyn, a fertile lowland beech forest. The rich heritage of the commune includes manor complexes in Grochowiska Szlacheckie, Wola, and Złotniki, featuring architectural details typical of the region, such as 19th-century parks. In Lubcz, there is a church complex dedicated to St. Matthew and an 18th-century wooden arcaded cottage, highlighting the historical diversity of the area. In Rogowo itself, there is a church from 1831 and the mausoleum of the Schedlin-Czarliński family. Interestingly, neighboring communes such as Gąsawa, Gniezno, and Żnin form a diverse cultural landscape, and Rogowo is one of two communes with the same name in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
