Jarząbki is a village in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, known for its agricultural traditions, particularly potato cultivation, as well as developing fruit farming and agritourism. The village is home to a primary school dating back to 1938 and a parish church dedicated to Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn, established in 1994. The village is divided into several parts, and its history dates back to at least the 14th century, as confirmed by various records and documents, including the works of Jan Długosz. Jarząbki was the site of a battle against the Tatars in 1241 and, in the 17th century, the scene of operations led by Colonel Jan Gnoiński. In the 19th century, the village had 32 houses and 211 inhabitants and was part of the Grabki estate. Interestingly, Stefan Żeromski visited the village on January 3, 1884. Additionally, archaeological excavations in Jarząbki have revealed a cemetery from the Roman Empire era and prehistoric settlements, which were entered into the register of historical monuments in 1972. The etymology of the name may be related to the personal name "jarząbek" and is not confirmed by the legend of the Jastrzębiec family. Today, Jarząbki is home to the youth sports club "Iskra Jarząbki." Despite its agricultural character, the village also has cultural elements that attract tourists, although its landscape is disrupted by a wind farm.
