Rębielice Królewskie is a village located in the Silesian Voivodeship, in the Kłobuck County, within the administrative district of Popów. It is known for its rich history and fascinating natural environment. The first mention of the settlement dates back to 1266, when Duke Bolesław the Pious granted it to the chamberlain of Wieluń. Over the centuries, Rębielice was owned by various proprietors, including the Kobylański and Warszycki families, who influenced the economic and social development of the region. In the 16th century, Stanisław Warszycki, known for his architectural ambitions, planned to build a castle in Rębielice, but the project was never realized. In the 19th century, the village experienced significant population growth and the establishment of a primary school. Today, Rębielice Królewskie boasts infrastructure including a school, a health center, a church from 1890, and a Volunteer Fire Department. Among its architectural curiosities are lime kilns and a cemetery dating back to 1903. Additionally, the village is known for hosting the largest wind farm in Europe, which was established in 2003. The natural attractions of the region, such as the Liswarta River Valley and Rębielska Góra, draw tourists as well as fishing and climbing enthusiasts. Rębielice Królewskie has significant tourism potential, which is further enhanced by efforts to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle. Despite numerous challenges, the residents successfully continue agricultural traditions and foster the development of local culture.
