Rozprza is an urban-rural commune in the Łódź Voivodeship, within Piotrków County, with its administrative seat located in the town of the same name. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune belonged to the former Piotrków Voivodeship. Historically, during the time of the Kingdom of Poland, Rozprza was part of Piotrków County in the Piotrków Governorate. In 1870, it was transformed into a commune and incorporated into the local administrative area. A significant change occurred on January 1, 2023, when Rozprza regained its town rights. The commune covers an area of 163.08 km², of which 67% is agricultural land and 26% is forested, accounting for 11.41% of the total area of Piotrków County. Demographically, as of December 31, 2007, the age structure of the commune's population was illustrated by a population pyramid, reflecting its demographic composition. Two national roads play a crucial transport role: road no. 1 (Gdańsk – Gorzyczki) and road no. 91 (Gdańsk – Podwarpie), connecting the area to major transportation routes. The commune comprises numerous villages, such as Bagno, Bazar, Biała Róża, Cekanów, and Lubień, as well as other localities including Adolfinów and Kazimierzów. It borders municipalities such as Kamieńsk, Piotrków Trybunalski, and Sulejów, fostering regional cooperation and cultural exchange.
