The municipality of Rąbino, located in the northern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Świdwin County, is an area rich in history and diverse architecture. The seat of the municipality is the village of Rąbino, and the municipality comprises 15 administrative districts (sołectwa) with many small settlements. Covering an area of 180 km², the municipality is characterized by 56% agricultural land and 37% forests, creating favorable conditions for agricultural economy. In 2016, the municipality had a population of 3,725, accounting for 7.8% of the county's population. Rąbino stands out for its numerous architectural monuments, including churches in Lipie, Rąbino, Rzecino, and Stare Ludzicko, as well as the ruins of a church in Kłodzino. Additionally, traditional manor farm complexes have been preserved in the villages of Dąbrowa Białogardzka, Głodzino, Jezierzyce, Modrzewiec, Rąbino, and Świerznica. Many villages feature historic architecture, including traditional cottages and barns, as well as manor parks and cemeteries, which enrich the cultural landscape of the municipality. The history of the region dates back to Prussian times, and after 1945, these areas became part of Poland. The municipality of Rąbino boasts well-developed transport infrastructure, with a preserved railway network and roads of local importance. In addition to its natural attractions, the municipality also has a rich cultural heritage, shaped by numerous local and community events. An interesting fact is that Rąbino received a railway connection as early as 1859, highlighting the region's significance at the time. Today, despite the passage of years, the municipality retains its rural character, with a dense settlement network, making it an interesting place both to live and to explore local history.
