Ryczywół is a rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Oborniki County. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Piła Voivodeship. The administrative seat of the municipality is the village of Ryczywół. As of March 31, 2011, the municipality had a population of 7,369. In 2002, its area was 154.54 km², of which 71% was agricultural land and 22% was forested. Ryczywół Municipality constitutes 21.69% of the area of Oborniki County. The region can also be discussed in terms of demography, where data from June 30, 2004, allows for various analyses regarding the age structure of its inhabitants. Ryczywół borders municipalities such as Budzyń, Czarnków, Oborniki, Połajewo, and Rogoźno, which fosters cultural exchange and local cooperation. Although the municipality is not known for numerous architectural monuments, one can find traditional rural buildings that reflect local history and culture.
