Rydzyna is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Leszno County, with its administrative seat in the town of Rydzyna. Historically, between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the former Leszno Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 135.56 km², of which 69% is agricultural land and 23% is forested. As of March 31, 2011, the population was 8,449.
