Rząśnik Municipality, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within Wyszków County, covers an area of 167.42 km². It was established on January 1, 1973, through the merger of several smaller administrative units. The seat of the municipality is the village of Rząśnik, which has the largest population, and as of June 30, 2004, the entire municipality was home to 6,616 residents. The area is characterized by a high proportion of agricultural land (57%) and forests (37%), which shape its rural character and support the development of agriculture. The municipality is also home to historic religious buildings, such as the Church of St. Anne in Nowy Lubiel and the wooden Church of St. Teresa in Porządzie. Beyond sacral architecture, local culture is enriched by community activities, highlighted by the establishment of the Rural Sports Club "Rząśnik" in 2006. During the 2008/2009 season, the football team achieved significant success by advancing to the A class. The municipality has a rich historical heritage, including post-World War II underground independence movements represented by the unit led by Jan Kmiołek "Wir." Today, the community skillfully blends tradition with active social life, making it a noteworthy destination in the Masovian region.
