Rzeczenica is a rural municipality located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Człuchów County. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Słupsk Voivodeship. The municipality consists of 7 administrative units (sołectwa), including Brzezie, Gwieździn, Międzybórz, and Rzeczenica, which serves as the municipal seat. The area of the municipality is 274.92 km², with land use comprising 27% agricultural land and 66% forest land, making forests the dominant feature of the landscape. The municipality is inhabited by approximately 3,600 people, and data from 2014 shows an age pyramid indicating dynamic demographic changes. The area is home to interesting nature reserves, such as Bocheńskie Błoto, Cisy w Czarnem, and Międzybórz, highlighting the region's natural richness. Neighboring municipalities include Biały Bór, Czarne, Człuchów, Koczała, Przechlewo, and Szczecinek, fostering cooperation and cultural exchange.
