Sędziejowice is a rural commune located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Łask County, with its administrative seat situated in a village of the same name. Formerly known until 1931 as the Wola Wężykowa commune, it covers an area of 120.04 km², dominated by agricultural land (64%) and forests (27%). It constitutes 19.42% of the total area of Łask County. The commune is home to several nature reserves, including the Grabica Reserve, which protects peatlands and marshes, and the Stanisław Kostka Wisiński Jodły Łaskie Forest Reserve, safeguarding a forest ecosystem with monumental tree specimens. The commune office is located at 6 Wieluńska Street, and since November 21, 2018, the mayor has been Dariusz Cieślak. The commune also boasts a sports scene represented by the Gminny Klub Sportowy Sędziejowice (Sędziejowice Municipal Sports Club), which competes in the regional league and was established in March 2015. According to data from December 31, 2007, the commune was inhabited by 6,443 people, and demographic trends indicate dynamic growth of the local community. Sędziejowice borders the communes of Buczek, Łask, Widawa, Zapolice, Zelów, and Zduńska Wola, creating opportunities for cooperation and regional development. With its natural attractions and sporting activities, Sędziejowice is an interesting place for both residents and tourists.
