Saturn Museum in Czeladź

The Saturn Museum in Czeladz, currently in the process of being organized, was established by a resolution of the City Council in October 2008 as a continuation of the Czeladz Chamber of Tradition founded in 2003. It is housed in the historic "Palacyk pod Filarami" (Mansion under the Pillars), the former villa of the director of the "Saturn" coal mine, which gives the institution a unique architectural character. The building, a testament to the region's rich history, forms a significant part of Czeladz's cultural heritage. Although the museum does not currently have a permanent exhibition, it focuses on organizing temporary displays that primarily explore the history of Czeladz and the Dabrowa Basin, allowing visitors to continually engage with local traditions and events. The museum's activities extend beyond exhibitions; it is actively involved in educational initiatives and publishing through its "Oficyna Saturnowska" (Saturn Publishing House).
