Będzin County

Będzin County, established on January 1, 1999, is located in the Silesian Voivodeship, in the central part of the Dąbrowa Basin. Its capital is the city of Będzin. The county is characterized by a rich history dating back to 1867, when it was separated from Olkusz County. The area boasts numerous architectural monuments, including the Royal Castle in Będzin, which dates back to the 14th century, and fragments of the town walls from the same period. Many churches, such as the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity from the 14th century and the Church of St. Nicholas in Targoszyce from the first half of the 12th century, testify to the region's rich history and spiritual significance.
