wikipedia
Sedranki is a village located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, administratively part of the Olecko municipality. The history of Sedranki dates back to at least 1576, when a ducal manor farm existed here. In the 17th century, the estate had substantial herds of cattle and horses, as well as a mill operating since 1640. The village suffered during Tatar invasions and wars, including World War I and World War II, which significantly impacted its development and resources. In the 18th century, Sedranki was a royal village managed by treasury authorities, and in the 19th century, existing buildings were renovated, including the mill, which was converted to electric power. An interesting fact is that in 1807, General Henryk Dąbrowski passed through the village. Sedranki is also known for cultural events, such as the Leśny Cross Niepodległości (Forest Independence Cross), which has been held annually since 2013. In the summer of 2017, a village beach was opened, enhancing local recreation. The village is home to several cemeteries, including an Evangelical cemetery and a burial site for soldiers from the Napoleonic era. The architecture of Sedranki includes remnants of the mill and traces of the former manor farm. Despite its challenging history, Sedranki remains an important point on the regional map, blending tradition with modernity.
