The Siemkowice Commune, located in the Łódź Voivodeship within Pajęczno County, covers an area of 98.40 km², which constitutes 12.24% of the county's total area. Its administrative seat is the village of Siemkowice. Between 1975 and 1998, the commune was part of the Sieradz Voivodeship. According to demographic data, as of December 31, 2007, the commune had 4,993 inhabitants, but by December 31, 2019, this number had decreased to 4,773. Land use is dominated by agricultural areas, which account for 68%, and forests, which make up 29%. Within the commune lies the Mokry Las Nature Reserve, which protects unique wetland forest ecosystems featuring fir trees, highlighting the region's natural richness. The commune's villages include Borki, Kije, Lipnik, Siemkowice, and many others, such as Bugaj Lipnicki and Miedźno. Siemkowice Commune borders other communes, including Działoszyn, Pajęczno, and Wierzchlas.
