Sierpc Town Hall

Sierpc Town Hall, built in 1841, is an excellent example of classical architecture. Its two-story structure, with a gable roof covered in sheet metal, was constructed from brick, plastered, and features a basement, emphasizing its solidity. The town hall was designed on a rectangular plan, with an elegant façade adorned with rustication, and its floors are distinctly separated by stringcourse cornices. An interesting feature is the square tower with a clock face, which adds character to the town hall and serves a practical function. The building is located at the former Market Square, now Cardinal Wyszyński Square, attracting the attention of both residents and tourists. The town hall not only served administrative functions but also witnessed many cultural and historical events, weaving itself into the rich history of Sierpc. Interestingly, the building still plays an important role in the life of the local community, hosting various events and festivals, highlighting its significance not only as an architectural monument but also as a center of the city's cultural life.
