Sobibór Landscape Park, established in 1983 in the Lublin Voivodeship, is located on the Łęczna-Włodawa Lakeland and includes the municipalities of Włodawa, Hańsk, and Wola Uhruska. It covers an area of 100 km², with an additional buffer zone of 95 km². The park protects rich forest ecosystems, including peat bogs and a number of forest lakes. The dominant habitats are pine, birch, and alder forests, which make up 75% of the park's area. The park also includes meadows, marshes, agricultural land, and water bodies, as well as six nature reserves, including Brudzieniec and Żółwiowe Błota, which cover 16.7% of the total area. Sobibór Park is important for biodiversity conservation, hosting rare species of plants and animals, including the European pond turtle and various birds such as the white-tailed eagle and black stork. The park is planned to be included in the ECONET-POLSKA biosphere reserve network. The flora has been identified as prototypical, with 100 plant communities and 55 rare species, 44 of which are protected. Sobibór Landscape Park, as a designated nature conservation area, is both a place rich in natural values and an important element of local culture and history, serving as a space for environmental education and tourism.
