Sobolew

Sobolew is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Garwolin County, with its administrative seat in the town of Sobolew. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Siedlce Voivodeship. It covers an area of 94.83 km², of which 70% is agricultural land and 24% is forested. According to data from December 31, 2019, Sobolew had a population of 8,239, showing a slight decrease compared to the 8,357 residents recorded in 2004. The municipality includes several villages, such as Anielów, Chotynia, Godzisz, Gończyce, Grabniak, as well as localities like Michałki, Nowiny Sobolewskie, and Uśniak. Sobolew is an area with a rich demographic structure, making it an interesting subject for sociological research. It is also worth noting the neighboring municipalities, such as Górzno and Łaskarzew, which may influence the culture and daily life of Sobolew's residents.
