Kasina Wielka is a village with a rich religious history, where a church originally existed, likely destroyed in the 15th century. Today, the role of the parish is fulfilled by a new church dedicated to Our Lady of Częstochowa, built in the 1980s and consecrated in 1999. In addition to it, there are two other places of worship: the historic Church of St. Mary Magdalene and the Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels in the Chęcie settlement. The Parish of St. Mary Magdalene, which includes Kasina Wielka and Przymiarki, is administered by diocesan priests and attracts the faithful with its feast days celebrated in July and August. The history of Kasina dates back to the times of the Cistercian Order from Szczyrzyc, and in later centuries it was associated with the parish in Skrzydlna, managed by the Dominicans. In the 16th century, Jan Niewiarowski funded a church, which was dismantled in 1678, and the current Church of St. Mary Magdalene was erected in its place. The parish was established on December 25, 1804, and its first parish priest was Fr. Wojciech Kalatowicz. Interestingly, the new church is the result of many years of efforts by the local community and is a symbol of the residents' religiosity, with its consecration being a significant event in the spiritual life of the parish.
