The municipality of Strzelce, previously known as the municipality of Sójki, is located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within Kutno County, with its administrative seat in the village of Strzelce. The municipality covers an area of 90.09 km², of which 85% is agricultural land and 8% is forested. In 2014, the population was 4,065, but by 2017, it had decreased to 3,969. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities of the Kutno Region, which fosters cooperation and integration among local communities. The municipality comprises several village administrative units (sołectwa), such as Aleksandrów, Dąbkowice, Karolew, and Muchnice, as well as other localities, including Bielawy and Holendry Strzeleckie. Strzelce Municipality has a rich history, marked by administrative changes that took place in the 20th century. From 1975 to 1998, it was part of the Płock Voivodeship.
