wikipedia
The tourist trail leading from Ochotnica Dolna through Jaworzynka Gorcowska, Hale Gorcowskie, and Hale Podgorcowe to the summit of Gorc is 7.3 km long, with an elevation gain of 640 meters uphill and 40 meters downhill, making it an attractive route for hikers. The hiking time is approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes uphill and 1 hour and 40 minutes downhill. Along the route, there is a student tent base located in a clearing called Hale Podgorcowe, which has been operating since 1968, with a break between 1982 and 1983. Managed by the Student Mountain Guides Club in Kraków, the base is situated at an altitude of 1150 meters above sea level at the eastern foothills of Jaworzynka Gorcowska. It offers accommodation in 3- and 4-person tents, as well as amenities such as a kitchen and a dining area. Visitors can use two sources of clean water near the base, pitch their own tents, and light campfires. The base is open from July 1 to August 30 and provides expansive views of the Tatra Mountains and the Lubania Range, making it an attractive tourist destination. It is worth mentioning that the penultimate weekend of August hosts the "GORCSTOK" tourist song contest, featuring well-known soloists, and the atmosphere encourages spontaneous singing around the campfire, highlighting the cultural and social dimension of this location. The trail and the base not only facilitate the sharing of hiking experiences but also bring together enthusiasts of music and mountain trekking. Additionally, the surroundings of the base offer excellent opportunities to admire nature, and the views of the nearby mountain ranges add to the uniqueness of this place.
