Supraśl is an urban-rural municipality located in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, within the Białystok County, with its capital in the town of Supraśl, which boasts a rich history and architectural heritage. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Białystok Voivodeship. The municipality is known for its diverse spatial structure, encompassing both agricultural land (23%) and forested areas (68%). In 2016, the government led by Prime Minister Beata Szydło reversed the decision to separate part of the municipality to create the new Grabówka municipality. Demographic data shows that in 2012, the population was 14,026, and by 2019, it had grown to 15,676. The structure of the villages is varied, ranging from small settlements to larger localities such as Zaścianki, Sobolewo, and Grabówka.
