Tadeusz Czacki High School No. XXVII in Warsaw

XXVII Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Tadeusza Czackiego, located at 5 Polna Street in Warsaw, is one of the oldest secondary schools in the capital, founded in 1876 as a six-grade realschule. Its architecture reflects the changes taking place in the region, and the building at Polna Street, which has housed the school since 1967, testifies to the historical significance of the lyceum. Over the years, the institution changed its name and status, transitioning from Russian to Polish hands and gaining state status in 1918. The school was also home to the oldest scouting troop in Poland, which resumed its activities in 1946 after World War II, encompassing various forms of education. The lyceum is known for its position in nationwide educational rankings, emphasizing the added value of teaching, which attracts students. Culture and the arts play a significant role in the school's life, with annual events such as the Theater Festival, K.A.W.A., and the Czacki Second Stage Concert engaging students in the organization and implementation of artistic projects. It is worth noting that the Theater Festival, organized without teacher involvement, was the first initiative of its kind in Poland, inspiring other schools.
