It is located in the Czyżyny district, close to the center of Kraków, and features a modern cable-stayed roof structure. The interior of the venue is comprehensively adapted to host competitions in various sports disciplines, concerts, congresses, trade fairs, and religious events. The arena grounds and certain sections can accommodate up to 22,000 people. Tauron Arena has hosted significant sporting events, including the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship and the 2016 EHF European Men's Handball Championship. Many world-renowned artists, such as Metallica, Elton John, and Andrea Bocelli, have performed on its stage, making it an important venue on Poland's music map. The arena has also hosted religious gatherings, including Pope Francis's visit in 2016 during World Youth Day. The facility features a modern LED system for event projections, two restaurants, conference rooms, and parking spaces.
