The Bieszczady Center for the History of Mountain Tourism "Green House" in Ustrzyki Górne is a museum facility of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society (PTTK), which presents the history of mountain tourism in the Western Bieszczady and Eastern Carpathians. Established in 1991 in the buildings of a former mountain shelter, the Center was the realization of Edward Moskała's concept of creating mountain tourism museums, which began to emerge in 1966. After 2004, under the care of the Wielkopolska Club of Mountain Tourism Guides, the building underwent renovation, and in 2008 the Center was incorporated into the Central Center of Mountain Tourism of PTTK in Krakow. In 2016, the facility received its current name, granting it formal status within the structures of PTTK. The museum collects exhibits in two rooms: the first presents the history of tourism in the Bieszczady after World War II, showcasing the life of the Bojkowie, Łemkowie, and Jewish communities, as well as farming tools, while the second room exhibits the history of tourism in the Eastern Carpathians up to 1939, including the activities of organizations such as the Polish Tatra Society. Among the collections are examples of Hutsul folk art and photographs of Carpathian nature, highlighting the cultural richness of the region. The Center is open during the summer season, making it an important point on the tourist map of the Bieszczady and an attraction for enthusiasts of mountain tourism history.
