The Manor in Rybna

The Rybna Manor, built around 1880 for the Rostworowski family, is a site of historical and architectural significance located in the Czernichów municipality of Kraków County. After Joachim Rostworowski purchased the estate in the 1870s, it became the family seat, with a history deeply intertwined with Polish cultural heritage. Among the descendants of the Rostworowskis, Karol Hubert Rostworowski, born in Rybna in 1877, stood out as a playwright, poet, and musician. Today, the manor remains in the hands of the Rostworowski family, underscoring the continuity of its history. The building is single-story with a gable roof and features an open veranda on the eastern side, while a two-story section with a large terrace supported by pillars is located on the northwestern side. The entire property is surrounded by meticulously maintained landscape park grounds. The Rybna Manor and its surroundings form a valuable cultural heritage site, registered as a historical monument in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Its architecture blends traditional elements with distinctive period details, making it an attraction not only for history enthusiasts but also for lovers of architecture and Polish culture.
