Tuliszków is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in Turek County, with its seat in Tuliszków, formerly known as Zadworna. According to data from 2010, the municipality was inhabited by 10,504 people, and in 2019, the number was 10,537. In the past, Tuliszków was part of the Konin County in the Kalisz Governorate, and in 1870, the municipality incorporated the town of Tuliszków, which had lost its town rights, only to regain its status as a town municipality in 1919. The municipality has an agricultural character, with 67.6% of its area occupied by agricultural land and 29.1% by forests. The terrain is geographically diverse, with river valleys and hills formed during the Middle Polish glaciation. Despite limited water resources, the local soils are mostly of low quality, which affects the economy and farming conditions. The municipality is characterized by a climate with a relatively high number of sunny days and lower precipitation. In the area, 28 species of protected plants have been identified, including many considered endangered. The flora is diverse, and the local fauna includes species such as moose, deer, and wild boars. Numerous volunteer fire departments operate within the municipality, reflecting the local community's commitment to safety. The municipality borders many other municipalities, facilitating cooperation and cultural exchange. Tuliszków combines agricultural traditions with local initiatives and cultural events, thus creating a unique image of its identity.
