The Turek Commune, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, covers an area of 109.42 km² and is part of the Turek County. Before being incorporated into its current voivodeship, from 1975 to 1998, it was administratively part of the Konin Voivodeship. The seat of the commune is the town of Turek, and according to data from June 30, 2004, its population was 7,404 inhabitants. The commune is characterized by a high proportion of agricultural land, which accounts for 69% of its area, and forest land, covering 24%. Demographically, in 2014, the age structure of the inhabitants was examined, providing a better understanding of the local community's characteristics. The commune is home to active units of the Volunteer Fire Department, including OSP Cisew, OSP Kaczki Średnie, OSP Kalinowo, and several others, reflecting the residents' commitment to safety and protection. The Turek Commune borders other communes, such as Brudzew, Dobra, Kawęczyn, and Tuliszków, fostering cultural exchange and cooperation among different communities.
