The Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (WSBiP) was established in 1996 by the decision of the Ministry of National Education. Located at 12 Akademicka Street, the university has placed great emphasis on the development of education in the region since its inception, having educated approximately 18,500 graduates at various levels of study. WSBiP continues to expand its educational offerings by introducing new fields of study, such as National Security, Economics, Geodesy and Cartography, and Nursing. The university boasts a modern Monoprofile Medical Simulation Center, funded with significant investment. WSBiP also has experience in international cooperation, establishing relationships with universities from various countries, which contributes to the exchange of knowledge and academic staff. The history of the university is closely tied to Professor Zbigniew Doliwa-Klepacki, who was its first rector and co-creator of the educational concept. The buildings housing WSBiP are former facilities provided by the city authorities, giving them a regional character. An interesting fact is that in 1999, a professional WSBiP Volleyball Club was established, which participated in league competitions, with some of its players achieving success on the international stage.
The authorities of WSBiP, led by Dr. Paweł Gotowiecki, focus on scientific development by organizing international conferences and research projects, among other initiatives. The university not only emphasizes education but also promotes science by hosting lectures and seminars featuring renowned figures from academia and business. WSBiP is also active in publishing, producing numerous scientific publications and journals, which constitute a significant part of its academic activities. The university successfully combines education, scientific development, and sports activities, as exemplified by its volleyball club, which has contributed to the promotion of sports in the region.
