Ursynów North

Ursynów Północny is an area within the Municipal Information System (MSI) in the Ursynów district of Warsaw. Covering an area of 126 hectares, it was incorporated into the administrative boundaries of Warsaw in 1951 and is primarily known for its dominant multi-family residential architecture. From an architectural perspective, the housing estate, developed in the 1970s, was designed with large-panel construction technology inspired by Danish solutions. Among the project's authors were Marek Budzyński and Jerzy Szczepanik-Dzikowski. The estate was divided into seven colonies, intended to be more resident-friendly by promoting pedestrian pathways and linear centers around Komisji Edukacji Narodowej Avenue. Culturally, Ursynów Północny boasts rich infrastructure, including two metro stations, Jan Pawła II Park, and Roman Kozłowski Park, which provide green spaces for residents. The area also features ponds and the Służewiec Horse Racing Track, adding to the district's charm. The history of Ursynów Północny dates back to the 1950s, when the area began to develop intensively. Today, it is part of a modern city that combines residential and recreational functions. The local fauna includes rare bird species, highlighting the area's natural significance. A notable curiosity is the Ursynów Boulder, a protected natural monument standing 2.62 meters tall with a circumference of 1,110 cm. With its rich history and architectural diversity, Ursynów Północny is an important part of the capital.
