wikipedia
Gmina Warnice, previously known as Gmina Wierzbno until 1954, is a rural municipality located in the western part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Pyrzyce County, with its administrative seat in the village of Warnice. In terms of area, the municipality ranks 100th in the voivodeship, and 101st in terms of population. As of December 2017, it had 3,497 inhabitants, accounting for 9% of the population of Pyrzyce County. Gmina Warnice is situated on the Pyrzyce-Stargard Plain, with Lake Miedwie occupying its western part. Interestingly, the area lacks significant forested land, which covers only 1% of its territory, while agricultural land makes up 81%. Nature in the municipality is protected within two reserves: Brodogóry and Stary Przylep. The area is well-connected, including via voivodeship road No. 106, which links Warnice with Stargard and Pyrzyce. The history of the municipality is tied to the railway line, which was launched in 1882. Currently, there is one operational post office in Warnice. Administratively, the municipality consists of 13 village districts (sołectwa), including Barnim, Cieszysław, Dębica, and Wierzbno. In 2016, the municipality recorded budget expenditures of 13 million PLN and revenues of 13.1 million PLN, with public debt amounting to 4 million PLN. Despite its low population density, Gmina Warnice remains a significant cultural and natural asset in the region.
