Wilkołaz is a rural municipality in the Lublin Voivodeship, located in the Kraśnik County. Its administrative seat is the village of Wilkołaz Pierwszy. The municipality covers an area of 81.00 km², of which 83% is agricultural land and 11% is forest land. Inhabited by 5,525 people in 2014, the municipality is situated on the Urzędów Hills and is distinguished by its diverse terrain. The Urzędówka River flows within its boundaries. Forests cover 24% of the municipality's area and are home to rare species of fauna, such as the white stork, and flora, including 7 strictly protected species. The municipality is associated with ecologically valuable forest corridors that connect various protected areas. There are four natural monuments within the municipality, as well as numerous heritage sites listed in the register, reflecting its rich cultural heritage. Several educational institutions operate here, including primary schools and a municipal kindergarten. Neighboring municipalities include Borzechów, Kraśnik, Niedrzwica Duża, Strzyżewice, Urzędów, and Zakrzówek.
