The Biała Podlaska Commune is a rural administrative district located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within Biała County, with its administrative seat in the city of Biała Podlaska. Between 1975 and 1998, it belonged administratively to the former Biała Podlaska Voivodeship. Covering an area of 324.76 km², it is the largest commune by territory in the Lublin Voivodeship. As of June 2009, the commune had a population of 13,147. The land use structure is predominantly agricultural (66%) and forested (27%), reflecting the rural character of the region. The commune is also an important area for agricultural cultivation. Demographically, the population of the commune is diverse in terms of age.
