Bendoszka Wielka (1144 m) is a peak located in the Beskid Żywiecki, part of a ridge descending from Bania that stretches northwards through the Przegibek Pass. Due to its vast mountain pasture, it serves as an excellent viewpoint, offering a panoramic vista of Malá Fatra and Barania Góra. At the summit, there is a viewing platform and a panorama board, which unfortunately has been vandalized. In 2000, the Jubilee Cross of the Żywiec Land, standing 23.5 meters tall, was erected on Bendoszka Wielka. The cornerstone was blessed by Pope John Paul II, and the cross, built thanks to the generosity of the local community, was consecrated by Bishop Tadeusz Rakoczy in September of the same year. The cross symbolizes the community of the Żywiec region and the unity of the Christian faith. Four plaques commemorating events and donors associated with its construction, as well as a quote from the Gospel of St. John, are affixed to the cross. Bendoszka Wielka, also known as Będoszka, is not only an important tourist destination but also a symbol of local culture and history, attracting tourists and pilgrims in search of spiritual and natural experiences.
