Rajcza is a rural municipality located in the Silesian Voivodeship, within Żywiec County, with its administrative seat in the village of Rajcza. The administrative history of the municipality dates back to the post-war period. From 1945 to 1975, the municipality was part of the Kraków Voivodeship, and from 1975 to 1998, it belonged to the Bielsko Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality had a population of 9,059, which decreased to 8,891 by the end of 2017. The municipality covers an area of 131.17 km², of which 28% is agricultural land and 59% is forested. Rajcza is known for its rich biodiversity and picturesque landscapes, attracting tourists seeking relaxation in nature. The municipality includes the villages of Sól-Kiczora, Rajcza, Rycerka Dolna, Rycerka Górna, Sól, and Zwardoń, reflecting its dispersed rural structure.
