The municipality of Wodynie, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within Siedlce County, has its origins dating back to the 1970s, when it was part of the former Siedlce Voivodeship. The administrative seat of the municipality is the village of Wodynie, and according to data from June 30, 2004, it was inhabited by 4,867 people. Wodynie is characterized by a diverse land structure, dominated by agricultural land (68%) and forests (27%), which significantly shape the local landscape and way of life.
