Wrocław University of Science and Technology

Wrocław University of Science and Technology, established in 1945 on the foundations of the Royal Higher Technical School, boasts a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. The first classes were held in 1910, and the university gained prominence after World War II, when Polish scientists, including graduates of Lviv Polytechnic, restored the damaged buildings and created a new institution. In its early years, the university consisted of five faculties, and by 2023, it had expanded its offerings to fourteen faculties and three branches, educating students in various engineering and scientific disciplines. A legendary location is the Wittigowo student housing estate, home to the largest dormitories. The university has a long tradition of cultural life, with the Elita Cabaret and the Film Discussion Club at the forefront. Interestingly, in 2023, the university inaugurated the Faculty of Medicine as a new unit, expanding its interdisciplinary approach to education. The university emphasizes international cooperation, evidenced by its membership in the European network of universities Unite! and the Nysa University project, which enabled studying in multiple countries. Graduates of Wrocław University of Science and Technology have achieved success in various fields, confirming the high level of education and commitment to the development of science and technology.
