Wrocanka is a village in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in Jasło County, with a rich history dating back to at least the 15th century, when the earliest records mention it as Wroczowa. The village was part of, among others, the Galowski estate, and later underwent various changes in ownership, which influenced its economic and social development. Wrocanka exemplified the traditional rural lifestyle, with farms, an inn, and meat processing activities. Architecturally, it is distinguished by the filial church of St. John the Baptist, built in 1987, which is part of the Parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tarnowiec. The rich cultural heritage of Wrocanka is reflected in local traditions and the activities of social activists, such as Jan Orzechowicz, who is remembered in history as an active community leader. An interesting feature is the hill known as Kościelisko, associated with a legend about a lost church, which arouses the interest of local residents. Wrocanka, as a village electrified since 1956 and supplied with gas since 1972, is also developing in terms of infrastructure, demonstrating the modernization of the local community's life in recent decades.
