wikipedia
Kąty Wrocławskie, a town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship with a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, was founded in 1297 under Środa Śląska law by Bolko I the Strict. The historic town center, listed in the register of monuments, is characterized by its urban layout and architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries. Among the most important landmarks is the Gothic Church of St. Peter and Paul, built in the 15th century, featuring rich interior furnishings, including polychrome sculptures from the early 15th century. Kąty Wrocławskie also boasts remnants of 14th-century defensive walls, former Evangelical churches, a town hall tower with a Renaissance clock, and a number of early 20th-century villas. The town has an intriguing past marked by various cultural and linguistic influences, which is reflected in the development of its crafts and trade. In the 19th century, Kąty Wrocławskie gained railway connections, contributing to its further growth. After World War II, the town suffered destruction due to military actions, and its demographics changed significantly as German residents were replaced by Polish settlers. Today, Kąty Wrocławskie is dynamically developing, particularly as a commercial and industrial hub, benefiting from its convenient location near Wrocław and well-developed transport infrastructure. The town is a partner to several cities, and its friendly atmosphere attracts new residents. Due to urban development, new buildings are being constructed in the area, enhancing the quality of life for its inhabitants. An interesting fact is that Kąty Wrocławskie is home to an ancient fortified settlement with an earthen rampart, which is a remnant of a castle that burned down in 1624.
