Wyrzysk is an urban-rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within Piła County. Its administrative seat is the town of Wyrzysk, which until 1998 was part of the former Piła Voivodeship. As of June 2004, the municipality had a population of 14,155 inhabitants. It covers an area of 160.75 km², of which 73% is agricultural land and 12% is forested, highlighting its predominantly rural character. The municipality of Wyrzysk consists of numerous village administrative units (sołectwa), such as Auguścin, Bąkowo, Dąbki, Dobrzyniewo, and Kosztowo, as well as smaller settlements including Anusin, Hercowo, and Zielona Góra.
