Ińsko is an urban-rural municipality located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Stargard County, with the town of Ińsko serving as its seat. The municipality is situated in the central part of the region, bordering the municipalities of Chociwel, Dobrzany, Drawsko Pomorskie, Kalisz Pomorski, and Węgorzyno. Until 1998, the municipality was part of the Szczecin Voivodeship. Covering 9.9% of the county's area, the municipality is characterized by an extensive network of water bodies, including the largest lake—Ińsko—and the Iński Landscape Park, which is home to nature reserves. The area is a tourist attraction, featuring numerous hiking trails and floating islands on Lake Linówko. Forests cover 38% of the municipality's area, while agricultural land accounts for 45%. Ińsko also boasts good transportation links, with Provincial Road 151 serving as the main traffic route. Around 1895, Ińsko gained railway access thanks to the Stargard Narrow-Gauge Railway, though the rail lines were eventually closed over the years. The municipality has one operational post office. In 2016, the municipal budget amounted to PLN 12.6 million, with public debt accounting for 19.6% of its income. Ińsko is a member of the Union of Polish Towns, highlighting its regional significance. The municipality includes localities such as Ciemnik, Czertyń, Granica, Linówko, Storkowo, Studnica, Ścienne, and other smaller settlements. With its rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes, Ińsko attracts tourists and offers its residents an abundance of nature and culture.
