Zakrzówek is a rural municipality in the Lublin Voivodeship, located in the Kraśnik County, with its administrative seat in the village of Zakrzówek. This municipality has a rich demographic structure; at the beginning of 2004, it was home to 7,044 people, but by the end of 2019, this number had decreased to 6,443. The municipality covers an area of 99.08 km², dominated by agricultural land (89%) and, to a lesser extent, by forested areas (5%). Zakrzówek boasts well-developed infrastructure, with 100% electrification and efficient water supply and sewage systems. An important element of cultural life is the Municipal Cultural Center, opened in 2011, which serves as the cultural hub of the municipality. The terrain is diversified by the Bystrzyca River, surrounding hills and ravines, as well as its proximity to the Roztocze region. The municipality is rich in natural assets, and upon entering its territory, one can admire beautiful landscapes. An interesting fact is that full gasification of the municipality is planned, which will further enhance the quality of life for its residents. Traces of history can also be found in Zakrzówek, and the development of the municipality is closely linked to its experienced inhabitants and their continuous efforts to improve living conditions.
