Zaręby Kościelne

Zaręby Kościelne is a rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Ostrów County, with its seat in the town of Zaręby Kościelne. According to data from December 31, 2009, the municipality had a population of 3,820 and covers an area of 88.73 km², which constitutes 7.26% of the area of Ostrów County. It is worth noting that between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Łomża Voivodeship. Data from 2002 shows that agricultural land occupies the predominant part of the municipality's area (74%), while forests account for 18%. The municipality borders several others, including Andrzejewo, Ceranów, Małkinia Górna, Nur, Ostrów Mazowiecka, and Szulborze Wielkie. The municipality comprises numerous villages (sołectwa), such as Budziszewo, Chmielewo, Gaczkowo, and Nowa Złotoria.
