Zawidz, formerly the Kosemin commune, is a rural municipality in Poland located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Sierpc County. Its administrative seat is in the town of Zawidz. The municipality has a rich history; from 1975 to 1998, it was part of the Płock Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2004, the municipality was inhabited by 7,030 people, but by 2021, this number had decreased to 6,379 residents. The area of the municipality is 186.09 km², of which 82% is agricultural land and 11% is forested, reflecting the strong connection of the local community to agriculture and nature. Zawidz is home to numerous village administrative units, such as Budy Milewskie, Chabowo, and Zawidz Mały, each with its own distinct character and history.
