The municipality of Rzewnie, formerly known as the municipality of Sielc, is a rural administrative unit in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Maków County, with its seat in Rzewnie. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality was part of the Ostrołęka Voivodeship. It covers an area of 111.72 km², of which 67% is agricultural land and 24% is forested. In 2004, the municipality had 2,730 inhabitants, indicating a population decline compared to 1995, when 3,064 people lived here. The municipality is characterized by a diverse demographic structure and belongs to a network of neighboring municipalities, such as Czerwonka, Długosiodło, and Rząśnik. It consists of numerous villages, including Bindużka, Boruty, Chrzanowo, Nowy Sielc, and Łasiewity.
