Łęczyce

Łęczyce is a rural commune located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within Wejherowo County. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Gdańsk Voivodeship. The administrative seat of the commune is the village of Łęczyce, which, as of June 2021, had a population of 12,114. The commune covers an area of 232.81 km², of which 41% is agricultural land and 52% is forested. Łęczyce constitutes 18.15% of the total area of the county, making it a significant part of the local administrative structure. The commune includes numerous villages with the status of sołectwo (administrative rural subdivision), such as Bożepole Małe, Bożepole Wielkie, Brzeźno Lęborskie, and Strzelęcino. In terms of nature conservation, the Łęczyce commune boasts four nature reserves: Paraszyńskie Wąwozy, Pużyckie Łęgi, Wielistowskie Łęgi, and Wielistowskie Źródliska.
